My service rep at citibank told me if I refer someone to open 100k+ account, i get $100, he/she will get $100 WITHOUT doing all these, so I did, my $100 came after 3 months, but the person I referred never got, I called them up, the rep has quitted the company and the branch ppl does honor this, I clearly remembered the promotion fly said "OR if you open a accoutn with balance mroe than $100K..." it is an OR condition. But somehow I lost that piece of paper since I did not anticipate these many hassles.

I did this deal and they said that they waived the first two months of minimum balance requirements. As far as the third month goes they said I'd have to call to get that taken off. After the three months you can transfer your money to a free checking account with no minimum balance requirements.
